**Exciting Updates for East Texas Birding Enthusiasts!**

For the past four or five years, I’ve had the privilege of leading birding trips right here in East Texas. These outings later became official Tyler Audubon Society trips, which many of you joined after seeing the announcements on this page. It’s been an incredible journey filled with countless birding memories and connections.

As the new year begins, I’ve decided to focus more time on some of my other projects. With that, I’ve passed the torch of leading Tyler Audubon Society birding trips to a new Field Trip Director. The Audubon Society’s field trips will continue under their guidance, and if they choose, announcements will still be shared here.

But don’t worry—this isn’t goodbye! While I won’t be organizing trips for the Tyler Audubon Society, I’ll still be hosting **East Texas Birding Field Trips**, just on a less frequent basis. These trips will feature some of the best birding locations in the region, including Richland Creek WMA, Mineola Nature Preserve, Old Sabine Bottoms WMA, Hagerman NWR, and Lake Tawakoni State Park, among others.

And that’s not all! Be on the lookout for special invitations to join me at premier birding destinations like High Island and Sabine Woods during the breathtaking spring migration in April and early May, as well as visits to Anahuac NWR and beyond. The possibilities are endless, and who knows where we might explore next?

I value your input, so if you have any suggestions for future trips or specific requests, please message me. Your ideas are always welcome!

Keep your binoculars ready and your eyes on this page for updates. I look forward to seeing you in the field soon for more incredible birding adventures!

Happy birding! 🐦
